NCE / Organization platform

The NCE application turns the Deal Theory Lab idea into specific member, deal, meeting, and conference workflows. It is a major piece of the wider software project.

At a glance

  • Who it helps: An exchange organization and its members
  • The problem: Member access, deal packages, meetings, and conference workflows need to work together.
  • My role: Product creator and organization-workflow designer.
  • A substantial organization application within Deal Theory Lab
  • Member and deal-package experiences
  • Meeting, conference, and supporting administration workflows

The story

Deal Theory Lab is the larger vision. The NCE organization application is one substantial place where that vision has had to become specific. An exchange organization has members, information about deals, meetings, conference activities, and a great many details that need to stay connected.

I’ve been building around those workflows: how a member gets to the right information, how deal packages are presented, and how the organization supports its meetings and administration. It is a major application within the wider project, rather than just a page with a list of properties. Some functions exist in the private application while further development and release work remain ahead.

This is the sort of work that makes me examine an idea closely. A feature has to make sense for the person using it, and the pieces have to work together. The broader licensing opportunity is a direction to develop; making the actual workflows useful is the work in front of me. I like seeing a large idea become specific enough that someone can point to a task and say, this is what I need to do next.

What I’m creating
